AARP Louisiana honors 2019 Andrus Award winners
AARP Louisiana recenlty honored its 2019 Andrus Award recipients, Danny and Jeannette Albert, at a reception held at St. Dominic Church in New Orleans, LA. Attendees included family, friends, colleagues, and community members.
The Andrus Award for Community Service is AARP's most prestigious and visible award for community service. The Alberts were selected for their remarkable service which has greatly benefited their community, supported AARP's vision and mission, and inspired other volunteers.
Since 2016, they have served as dedicated and loyal members of the volunteer screening team for the New Orleans-based non-profit AAAneurysm Outreach, which is dedicated to raising awareness of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) and encouraging at-risk individuals to get screened.
AAAneurysm Outreach received a $500 donation from AARP on behalf of Danny and Jeannette Albert.
