AARP Lehigh Valley Wants You, Veteran and Military Caregivers, to Join Us for Breakfast!

At AARP Lehigh Valley, we know that every caregiving journey is unique. No caregiver handles this job the same, and no two service members or veterans have identical health challenges. We also know that for many, it becomes more challenging and more complicated than ever as families have increasing demands on their time and more veterans are surviving battle-inflicted wounds. While many caregivers do not know what help is available, every caregiver deserves to feel supported and celebrated.

That is why the leadership of both Lehigh and Northampton counties partnered with AARP Lehigh Valley and the Elizabeth Dole Foundation to take the steps necessary to be declared Hidden Heroes counties; and it’s why we are taking a little time to show them our gratitude by hosting a Veteran Caregiver Appreciation Breakfast.

This is why we want YOU to join us for breakfast and a brief program – that will include remarks by:

• Northampton County Executive Lamont McClure
• Lehigh County Executive Phillips Armstrong
• Rochelle McDonough – Veterans Administration Caregiver Support Program
• Lauren Bauer – Lehigh County Area Agency on Aging Caregiver Support Program
• April Mulvey – Pennsylvania Dole Caregiver Fellow, who will share her personal caregiver story

When: Monday, November 6, 2023 – 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
