AARP Launches “Operation: Stop Scams” with Events in Communities Nationwide

Posted on 04/23/18

The AARP Fraud Watch Network brings fraud-fighting efforts to consumers nationwide in “Operation: Stop Scams” — a month-long series of events in communities coast-to-coast, as AARP state organizations sponsor free local events in nearly every state and the District of Columbia from Monday, April 16 through Monday, May 21, 2018.  April also brings the personal finance awareness activities of Smart Money Week (from April 21 to 28), so we’re excited to do our part with events to teach consumers to be smart about avoiding fraud and scams.  In Massachusetts, we have scheduled four paper-shredding events across the state through June, so there’s plenty of opportunity to find a shred event near you.

Shredding events are free and open to the public. Limit five boxes per person, please.  Questions? Call 1-866-926-8300.  See you at the shred events!
