We know that property taxes are critical to the well-being of our communities. But for too many of our neighbors, rising property taxes are threatening their ability to stay in their homes as they age. We hope that you can join AARP Indiana for a conversation with experts and state leaders about property taxes.

This virtual event, Hoosier Property Taxes: Where We’ve Been & Where We’re Going, is taking place on Wednesday, January 22 at 10 AM ET. If you attend, you’ll learn about:

  • Indiana’s property tax system and how it got to this point.
  • Survey results from older homeowners about the impact that rising property taxes is having on them.
  • Tax relief proposals that may be considered by the Indiana General Assembly and the new administration.

Guests joining the conversation include:

  • Sarah Waddle - State Director, AARP Indiana
  • Ambre Marr - Legislative Director, AARP Indiana
  • Senator Travis Holdman - Chairman, Senate Tax & Fiscal Policy Committee
  • Ryan Hoff - Director of Government Relations and General Counsel, Indiana Association of Counties
  • Larry DeBoer - Emeritus Professor, Agricultural Economics at Purdue University
