Anna Forster

AARP Indiana announced today the hiring of Anna Forster to serve as the office’s communications analyst. In this position, Forster will work closely with AARP Indiana data, providing research analytics to lead communication and engagement efforts in communities throughout the state. She will also support social and digital media strategies.

A native of Columbus, IN, Forster holds a Ph.D. in Nursing with a minor in Gerontology from Purdue University. Most recently, as a T32 Postdoctoral Fellow at IU School of Nursing, Forster excelled in advancing research on improving the physical activity of older adults with cardiovascular disease.

“Anna brings a wealth of experience from a career in nursing, research, and communications to her new role with Team Indiana,” said AARP Indiana State Director, Sarah Waddle. “This strong background will be crucial to ensuring that older Hoosiers have the information they need to help them choose how to live as they age.”

Throughout this year, Forster has been engaged as an active volunteer with AARP Indiana’s Legislative Team during the 2024 session through a collaboration with the IU School of Nursing and Dr. Sharron Crowder.
