Flavors of San Jose: January 2nd
Join us for a Facebook and YouTube LIVE conversation with Veggielution and local San Jose chefs. Learn about their food journey and a family recipe that you can make right in your own home. Webinar Wednesday – Queer Silicon Valley: January 13th   
Join us for a Facebook and YouTube Live conversation Ken Yeager, Community Foundation Executive Director of the Bay Area Municipal Elections Committee (BAYMEC). We’ll talk with Ken about BAYMEC’s latest project, Queer Silicon Valley, and their endeavors to document the milestones and accomplishments of the LGBTQ+ community in Santa Clara County. Tune-in to AARP California’s Facebook page or YouTube channel at 12:30 p.m. PT on Wednesday, January 13th or watch the recording anytime thereafter. The 41st Annual MLK Virtual Luncheon: January 18th
Join us for the African American Community Service Agency (AACSA) 41st Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Virtual Luncheon themed “In the Presence of Justice.” Hear from special guests as we celebrate Dr. King and his work. AARP RESOURCES: 
In the face of the health crisis, AARP continues to provide information and resources to help individuals protect themselves from COVID-19 and prevent it from spreading to others. Visit aarp.org/coronavirus and in Spanish at aarp.org/elcoronavirus to find free resources on caregiving, health, financial security and more. AARP also partnered with Governor Newsom and the California Department of Aging to create a California for ALL Resource card, a one-stop information guide on COVID-19 for ALL Californians – but especially older adults. Learn more and download the card in English, Spanish or Chinese HERE.  

Fraud and Scam Prevention 
If someone suspects a scam, they should call the toll-free AARP Fraud Watch helpline at 877-908-3360 to report it. Individuals can also visit aarp.org/fraudwatchnetwork for news, tips, and online learning videos on how to spot and stop common scams.

Caregiving 
AARP supports millions of family caregivers by providing free resources and tools. View and download the AARP Prepare to Care caregiving guide, offered in English, Spanish and Chinese at aarp.org/caregiving. The website also features six questions loved ones should ask nursing homes during the health crisis, steps for caregivers worried about the crisis, legal tips for caregivers during COVID-19, and much more. Individuals taking care of a loved one can also call the AARP Caregiver Support Line at 877-333-5885.

  • Growing with Age - Creating an Age-Inclusive Workforce: A new interactive online platform to give employers the necessary tools, research and resources to help them develop better practices to build their multigenerational workforce. The Growing with Age platform provides employers with:
