AARP Illinois Introduces the 2023 Legislative Voting Record

With this in mind, and in response to requests from our members, AARP Illinois is pleased to present this 2023 Illinois Report and Voting Record on Legislative Issues. This report offers an easy-to-use digital guide to votes taken on issues that impact those 50+ and their families. Although we are a non-partisan organization, we recognize that our 1.7 million members across Illinois can make a difference when they hold public officials accountable on issues important to them. The record shares how lawmakers voted and outlines gubernatorial action on bills related to the Illinois state budget, prescription drug prices, nursing home residents’ quality of care, home and community-based services, health care, caregiving, electric and gas utility rates, financial and retirement security, and livable communities. The record also includes a summary and breakdown of how the Illinois Commerce Commission ruled on two utility rate cases in which AARP Illinois intervened. We hope that you will use this resource to keep track of how your State Senator and State Representative voted on the issues most important to older adults in Illinois.
