AARP Hawai`i, Alzheimer’s Association Hold Free Webinar With Holiday Tips for Caregivers

Family caregivers can reduce stress by recognizing their limits, making time for self care and cherishing moments of joy during the holidays.

Those are some of the tips AARP Hawai`i and the Aloha Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Assoication will share at a free webinar on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 10 a.m.

“The holidays can be extra stressful for caregivers with gift shopping, cooking and large family gatherings,” said Jackie Boland, AARP Hawai`i outreach director. “Caregivers and the loved ones they care for may not be up to continuing some family traditions. It may be time to make new traditions and if you know a family caregiver, consider giving them the gift of your time and help.”
