ATLANTA – AARP Georgia is proud to announce the addition of two new members to its Executive Council. Health care professional Stewart Parnacott and IT project manager Tami Giusto join a talented and diverse group of professionals on the nonprofit’s Executive Council.

“I am thrilled to have these two talented professionals join our Executive Council,” said AARP Georgia State President Myrtle S. Habersham. “Their diverse work, educational and civic backgrounds will truly enrich this already talented body.”

Parnacott is a certified registered nurse anesthetist at Emory Midtown Hospital in Atlanta. He also teaches medical and nursing students as an instructor at the Baylor College of Medicine. When not focused on medicine, he works as an affordable housing developer with Garden District Realty and East Atlanta Realty. Parnacott sees “caring for aging Georgia residents as a moral and ethical imperative.” He also “believes that tailoring the healthcare needs to the aging population, reaffirming the commitment for retired individuals to age in place, and increasing transportation services are necessary for increasing sustainability for Georgians.”

Giusto, a longtime resident of the metro Atlanta area, contracts at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as an IT project manager. Prior to that role, she travelled the country as a consultant to hospitals installing electronic medical records software. Giusto remarks she “is grateful for the opportunity to serve Georgia’s 50-plus community as a member of the Executive Council and looks forward to getting busy with AARP.”

“We are excited to have Stewart and Tami coming onboard to assist and help guide our efforts to ensure that all Georgians, and especially those 50-plus, are equipped to live their lives the way that they choose,” said AARP Georgia State Director Debra Tyler Horton.
