AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Reopens Three Nebraska Sites

Posted on 06/25/20

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide, the nation's largest free, volunteer-based tax preparation and assistance service, has reopened three Nebraska sites in Beatrice, McCook and York through the extended tax filing deadline of July 15.

Tax anxiety

The program, which serves low- to moderate-income taxpayers, especially those age 60 and over, had suspended tax preparation services at all sites in the U.S. this March, due to the spread of coronavirus.

Taxpayers must make appointments to receive in-person assistance at the sites below; no walk-ins will be accepted. Locations include:

Beatrice: Beatrice Public Library, 100 N. 10th St. Call (402) 223-3584 for more information and to make an appointment.

McCook: McCook Christian Church, 507 W. B St. Call (308) 737-6656 for more information and to make an appointment.

York: Senior Information Center, 2325 N. Nebraska Ave. Call (402) 362-7626 for more information and to make an appointment.

Visit www.aarpfoundation.org/taxaide or call 1-888-227-7669 for information about online tax filing options and updates regarding service availability.
