Making Your Voice Heard
Nonprofit. Nonpartisan. We're advocating for what is important to our members and giving you a voice at the local, state and federal levels. Your voice matters. We work with local organizations and town and city officials to make our communities more livable and greater places to age with dignity and purpose.
Today, AARP Florida celebrates legislative wins as the 2025 legislative session comes to a close.
As your advocate, AARP Florida is committed to ensuring fair and reasonable rates for FPL customers, with a particular focus on protecting older adults on fixed incomes from excessive financial strain. We will keep consumers updated throughout this process.
AARP is investing $101,920.00 in Florida communities as part of a nationwide grant program. Twelve communities across Florida are getting a boost in their work to become more livable for residents of all ages.

AARP FL is sponsoring free shred events at select locations around the state to help people fight back against fraud and protect them from identity theft.
The AARP report is part of an ongoing study commissioned in collaboration with Dr. Lindsay Peterson, an assistant professor at the University of South Florida (USF), Director of the Long-term Care Administration and Aging Sciences Internship Program, and Interim Director of the Florida Policy Exchange Center on Aging.
