AARP Alabama seeking new volunteer leader for Driver Safety program

The AARP Alabama Driver Safety Program currently has an opening for the State Coordinator position. This is the highest volunteer position in the program for the state, and requires both a commitment to the policies and direction of the AARP Driver Safety Program, and the ability to use effective leadership skills to advance the program at the state level.

While this position is an unpaid volunteer position, all business-related expenses incurred while working for the program will be reimbursed. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • development of program goals
  • supervision of leadership volunteers
  • budget development
  • volunteer recruitment
  • conducting state meetings
