Late yesterday, AARP Alabama's State Director, Candi Williams, sent the following letter to Governor Kay Ivey, as well as leaders at the Alabama Department of Public Health and the Alabama Department of Senior Services.

As the coronavirus pandemic reaches nearly six months, nursing homes in Alabama now account for 37% of all deaths from COVID-19 in our state. AARP Alabama continues to push for transparency and accountability on behalf of vulnerable residents and their concerned families.

"We urge Governor Ivey and other members of our state leadership to act quickly and decisively on the policy recommendations we have provided," said Candi Williams. AARP Alabama Letter to Gov. Ivey, ADPH & ADSS
