Sit, stay and play with your pup in the comfort of your backyard with the 2021 Gathering Place Virtual Dog Play Wednesday events presented by AARP Oklahoma. The monthly events are hosted on the Gathering Place Facebook.com page and include virtual "competitions", backyard "bark-tivities" and tips for becoming a fraud watchdog and joining the AARP Fraud Watch Network.

FEBRUARY 17, 2021- Puppy Love
It's Valentine's Day week and love is in the air. Join us for virtual Dog Play Wednesday “Puppy Love” in the events section of the Gathering Place Facebook.com page. The at-home activity is a recipe for heart-shaped dog treats and we're having a Pal-entine’s Day photo contest. Submit a picture of your sweet dog in the events section of the Gathering Place Facebook.com page by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17 for a chance to win a Valentine’s Day- themed prize pack.

JANUARY 27, 2021 - Happy Chew Year!
Our first Virtual Dog Play Wednesday event of 2021 is all about sharing "pawsitivity" with New Year’s resolutions. Whether it's taking more walks, healthy food choices, or just spending time with your furry friend, let's share our resolutions and support each other. This month, submit a picture of you and/ or your dogs' resolutions on the Gathering Place Facebook.com page by 6 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27 for a chance to win a three-month subscription to BarkBox.

About Gathering Place
A project of George Kaiser Family Foundation, Gathering Place, with a first phase of 66.5 acres, will ultimately transform nearly 100 acres of Tulsa’s waterfront along the Arkansas River into a dynamic and active space when the project is completed. A public-private partnership, GKFF and numerous corporate and community philanthropists gave ownership of the $465 million park to River Parks Authority who in turn signed a long-term operational and management lease back to an entity of the foundation to ensure the highest quality operation, maintenance and programming for the life of the park.
