16,600 Pounds of Paper Shredded at AARP Utah Events

Every two seconds, someone’s identity is stolen. But this summer, hundreds of vigilant Utahns took a stand against fraud by shredding their sensitive documents at our events.
AARP Utah hosted two very successful shredding events, one in Ogden and another in Salt Lake City. The turnout was incredible, with cars lining up for the chance to securely dispose of documents with personal information.
In Ogden, we shredded over 3,800 pounds of paper on-site, thanks to Shred-it. Meanwhile, in Salt Lake City, the community brought in an impressive 12,800 pounds of paper to be shredded!
