Traditional Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines which originated in ancient India. The practice has been known to help relieve stress and tension and calm the body and mind, among other health benefits. Yoga can be especially beneficial for Veterans with PTSD.
Come join us as we explore poses for releasing and toning muscles while discussing the benefits of Asana (postures) and Pranayama (breath-work) in alleviating uncomfortable medical and mental health symptoms. No experience necessary, all poses are accessible with blankets, bolsters, chairs and other props.
