Experience a special guided tour of Oklahoma's only prehistoric Native American archaeological site open to the public. Each spring equinox tour of the Spiro Mounds will be one mile of easy walking and about two hours in duration. Archaeologist Dennis Peterson will inform guests about the powerful Caddoans who created the mounds between 900-1450 A.D., how they became a very important leadership group, the excavations that took place here and why some mounds line up to solstice and equinox sunsets.

Timings: Walks start at 11am, 2pm and 7pm.
