By George Brant

Directed by Melinda Pfundstein

It’s 1942, and the men of the Oberon Play House are off at war. The theatre’s season is canceled—until the soldiers’ wives rally to perform an all-female version of Shakespeare’s Henry IV and Henry V. The women pull on their breeches and move from the sidelines to centerstage. With a spirit of collaboration, dauntless enthusiasm, and a belief in the power of art to heal the world, they manage to keep the home fires, and the footlights, burning in this warm and hilarious comedy which will remind you of a theatrical version of A League of Their Own.
