Book and Lyrics by Peter Kellogg

Music by David Friedman

Directed by Brad Carroll

Winner of numerous 2018 off-Broadway awards including the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Musical and the Drama Desk Award for Best Music and Lyrics, this foot-stompin’, knee-slappin’ musical gives a sideways nod to the Bard’s Measure for Measure but gallops off at breakneck speed to the wild West of 1890. There we learn Johnny has been arrested for murder. To save him, a wily sheriff, a priest who reads Nietzsche, a voluptuous saloon girl, and a novice nun plan a preposterous caper—a caper that must work, or Johnny will surely hang.
