Enjoy an old-fashioned Independence Day at this year's Fourth of July Celebration in Tonkawa. The celebration starts bright and early with a pancake breakfast, then a mid-morning Harvest Walk at Heart in the Park Labyrinth. After this busy morning, line up on the downtown sidewalks and enjoy a parade at high noon, followed by a bicycle and ATV contest and Duck Derby. Games for adults and children like horseshoe throwing, turtle racing and coin digging will occur throughout the day. The municipal pool is open for a free swim from 1-4pm, and the celebration closes with a giant fireworks display at dusk.
