Become immersed in beautiful blooms throughout the ProMedica Museum of Natural History and Aquarium during the Orchid Show at the Toledo Zoo! Discover the vibrant colors, delightful scents and interesting backstories of rare and exotic orchid species from around the world. February is for flowers at the Toledo Zoo!

New this year: Ultraviolet Fluorescence

Visitors will see a “bee’s eye view” of what orchids look like to pollinators. Many types of orchids are UV fluorescent, primarily in their reproductive parts in an attempt to focus the pollinator.

Visit the Mazza Gallery, located on the second floor of the Museum, to see this unique fluorescent view of orchids, animals and minerals!

1:00pm: Family guided tour and mini terrarium workshop at Nature’s Neighborhood
