Book by Howard Lindsay & Russel Crouse suggested by "The Trapp Family Singers" by Maria Augusta Trapp

Directed by Penny Cullers

Music directed by Fred Burrack

One of the world’s most beloved musicals is the story of the Von Trapp Family. Young Maria is too high-spirited to become a nun and is sent to be the governess for the seven children of a widowed naval Captain. His strictly run household is turned upside down by generous and charming Maria, who even the Captain comes to love. When Austria is invaded by the Nazis and the Captain is called to serve, the family must escape over the Alps. Featuring the songs we all know and love: “The Hills Are Alive,” “Edelweiss,” Do-Re-Mi,” and “My Favorite Things.”
