Stemming from a performance where Soyoung Shin and Anthony Bodlović processed stories from their own mothers, we invited you to share the stories that have remained with you told to you by your mothers, fathers, caregivers, guardians, grandparents, babysitters, teachers, and anyone else who provided care. These tales leave strong impressions which often are internalized and follow us into adulthood. It can take reflection, self work, or therapy to unpack the morals of these stories.
Soyoung Shin and Anthony Bodlović will re-present collected stories in an online performance. The lighthearted atmosphere of the fairy-tale play juxtaposes the challenging personal narratives at the heart of each tale.
During these unprecedented times we believe it is important to listen to stories so we can be uplifted, learn from our collective history, and re-imagine possibilities.
