Encore Gallery
219 Spring Street
Newton, NJ 07860

Sussex County Teen Arts, coordinated by Sussex County Community College is a collection of artwork from students in grades 8-12 from Sussex County. The Newton Theatre is proud to showcase works from these talented local teenagers in The Encore! Gallery located at 219 Spring Street, Newton, NJ.

The artwork displayed in The Encore! Gallery includes selected pieces that were showcased at the Sussex County Teen Arts Festival, held annually at Sussex County Community College, which acts as a cultural hub for the arts and allows teens from all schools across the county to come together in celebration and inspiration. The Festival is open to teens from grades 7 to 12 in public, private, and home schools.

Students are encouraged to submit work and to perform in the areas of Visual Arts, Creative Writing, Theater, Dance, Music and Filmmaking. Festival performers are offered constructive feedback by professionals in related fields and are eligible for further exhibits, performances, exposure and accolades as a result of participation.

Several of the student artists featured in The Encore! Gallery exhibit are graduating seniors who will be going on to major in art studies at different colleges this fall. Other featured artists have already earned scholarships for their unique artistic talents as well.
