Chamber Music Series: “Songs and Poems of St. Augustine” with the Ancient City Poets and Sam Pacetti

12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

This celebration of St. Augustine in words and music will feature guitarist, Sam Pacetti, setting the scene with his special brand of storytelling through music and then move to a member of the Ancient City Poet Society who will share a relevant theme in words.  This very unique program will interweave music and poetry highlighting our own Ancient City bringing our heritage to life through these art forms. A downtown mainstay for the past ten years, the Ancient City Poets gather for open microphone readings on the last Sunday of every month.  All readings have free admission.  Everyone is welcome and encouraged to present their work or just enjoy the spoken word scene.  “We are giving our community an opportunity to speak”, says founding member Chris Bodor.  “Anyone who puts his or her name on the sign-up sheet and reads a poem becomes an Ancient City Poet.”

Featured Ancient Poets for this program are:  Chris Bodor, Robert Waldner and Kimmy Van Kooten.
