In Bzzzz, beatboxer Chris Celiz performs live as six dancers join Teicher in their spirited and joyous tap style, skirting expectations at every turn. Don’t miss this evening, which also includes Teicher’s Meet Ella, a dynamic soft-shoe duet incorporating swing and jazz dance to glide towards, cut against, and trade with the musical catalogue of Ella Fitzgerald.

8:30PM: The Woman in Black

Adapted by Stephen Mallatratt
From the Book by Susan Hill

A ghost play

It all begins innocently enough. A lawyer—obsessed with a curse that he believes was cast over his family—hires a skeptical young actor to help tell his tale and exorcise the fear that grips his soul. But as they reach further into his darkest memories, the two men find themselves caught up in a world of eerie marshes and moaning winds. A brilliant study in atmosphere, illusion, and controlled horror, this gripping ghost story has been terrifying audiences in London’s West End for 30 years.

Cost: $65

Location: Charleston Visitor Center Bus Shed, 375 Meeting St.

9:00PM: Sarah Jarosz

Magic under the oaks

With her captivating voice and richly detailed songwriting, multi-instrumentalist Sarah Jarosz has emerged as one of the most compelling musicians of her generation. The Texas native and four-time Grammy Award-winner last appeared at Spoleto in 2019 as part of the folk trio I’m With Her; she returns in 2021 for two magical evenings illuminated by her ethereal, sparkling vocals and tender storytelling.
