Course Information:

This event will challenge even the best runners, getting you ready for a summer ultra, fall 100 K/miler or mountain event. The course consists of challenging climbs, steep descents and lots of fun banked turns. Runners will ascend and descend the mountain two times per loop.

This race has two unique “twists”. First, runners from the 6hr event will get to take the Texas Eagle quad chairlift one time during their race. Runners from the 9hr & 12hr events will be allowed to take the chairlift two times during their eventt. Second, runners will have a choice on their first mountain top ascent (of each loop) to take a single black diamond trail or a double black diamond trail. Easier & longer (.2m) vs harder & shorter (.2m). See Black Diamond Ascent section below for details.

The logistical question each runner will have to ask themselves…”Do I take the chairlift up the mountain and catch my breath? Or do I take the chairlift down the mountain and rest my weary quads?!” Either way, each timed runner will get to ride the amazing Texas Eagle quad chairlift and experience the Texas Hill Country and Lake Buchanan from a beautifully rare vantage point.

Then its simple, for timed events...whoever runs the most miles in the least amount of time...wins! Lets be honest though, anyone who toes the line, gets to be outside pushing themselves & hanging out with their tribe...wins every time.
