About the Event
More than just fresh seafood.
Thousands of people from the Pacific Northwest make their annual pilgrimage to this event held the first full weekend of October. OysterFest is put on by the Shelton Skookum Rotary Club, and it has grown over the past four decades into an event that draws guests from all over the Northwest. This event features activities for people of all ages and interests:
Oyster shucking competitions
40 + Food Vendors - seafood and non-seafood
Microbrew Garden & Wine Pavilion
RV & Camping on site
Two entertainment stages
Family & Kids activities & educational marine displays
Mollusks, microbrews, music and more abound at the annual OysterFest extravaganza in Shelton. Always the first full weekend in October, this favorite festival draws visitors from all across the world - all in search of the perfect oyster.
Hosted by the Shelton Skookum Rotary Club and attended by thousands, OysterFest is home to the West Coast Oyster Shucking Championships and is Washington State’s official Seafood Festival. The festival features hands-on water quality exhibits and a large food menu! It's not all oysters, oysters, oysters - besides great seafood, you will find spring rolls, garlic shrimp, homemade strawberry shortcake, fresh cider, and more.
Sample Washington wineries in the wine pavilion and take home a bottle of their best! Prefer a local Washington microbrew? Visit the Microbrew Stage and dance to a variety of energizing bands.

Family and Military Day - Adult Admission $15; Active Military - $5 (Children 17 and under Free)
