The Lower Shore Performing Arts Company (LSPAC) will present a cabaret musical review of early 20th century show songs and jazz music highlighting the American South entitled, "Show Boat - Music on the River." The program, directed by Pat Davis, longtime music director of the Eastern Shore Madrigals, will be featuring several songs from the musical, Show Boat, including classics like Show Boat, Ole' Man River, and Life Upon the Wicked Stage. Other featured songs include I Don't Want to Walk Alone, Steppin' Out, and selections from Porgy and Bess. Featured soloists include, among others, soprano, Beth Sharpley of New Church, tenor, David Jones of Greenbackville, and alto, Susan Rogers, of Salisbury. Special invited soloist, bass, Richard Williams will treat audiences to his performance of Ole' Man River.
Cost: Tickets are $20 per person and that includes coupons for two complementary adult beverages or non alcohol and light hors d'oeuvres.
