These profound filmmakers will share their documentaries and discuss their work.
BROOKLYN DEMME makes us think beyond ourselves. He tells the complex stories of indigenous cultures past, present and future. After the screening, Demme will discuss the film, activism, and making a difference at home and abroad.
JOE ALLEN created "Two Schools in Hillburn" which narrates the 1943 fight to integrate Hillburn's Main School and Brook School and how this conflict played a crucial role in the civil rights movement. After showing film highlights, Allen will discuss the documentary and his role as a community storyteller.
