Learn how to lower your risk of diabetes and pre-diabetes by attending a free class series offered by the Aspirus Riverview Diabetes & Nutrition Center.
“You Have the Power to Prevent Type 2 Diabetes” will be held Thursdays, April 9, 16, 23 and 30, from 6:30 to 8 pm in the lower level conference center at Aspirus Riverview Hospital, 410 Dewey Street, Wisconsin Rapids.
The four-class series is designed for those who have been told their blood sugars are high, as well as those who simply wish to learn more about reducing their diabetes/pre-diabetes risk.
Classes will be led by an Aspirus Riverview registered dietitian, who will explain simple lifestyle changes, including wise food choices, grocery store strategies, and the benefits of exercise.
While attendance is free, advance registration is required due to space limitations. To register, please call Rebecca White, RD in the Aspirus Riverview Diabetes & Nutrition Center at 715.422.9287 weekdays between 8 am and 4 pm.
