Pre-operative Surgical Weight Loss Support Group

The New England Weight Management Institute (NEWMI) at CMC offers monthly support groups designed for pre-operative and post-operative weight loss surgery (bariatric) patients.

SOME OF THE SUPPORT GROUP SESSIONS INCLUDE:
Post-operative patients discussing their experience, questions and concerns
Behavioral health specialists who focus on behavioral approaches to weight control
An exercise physiologist who discusses the importance of exercise and demonstrates exercise tactics
Protein taste testing session where you can sample some of the high protein supplements needed for post-operative recovery
