Stone’s Throw Dinner Theatre is happy to announce our production of Some Enchanted Evening, a delightful musical featuring the songs of Rogers & Hammerstein. Directed by Mark Sponaugle, along with musical director Peter Frost, the show is produced by special arrangement with the R&H Organization, and will run June 27, 28, 29 & 30.
Some Enchanted Evening is a celebration of some of the finest songs of the 20th Century, written by the greatest team of songwriters to ever collaborate, Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. Together they penned such shows as The Sound of Music, The King and I, Oklahoma!, Carousel, South Pacific, and State Fair. More so than any other composer and lyricist who have written for the stage, the songs of Rodgers & Hammerstein have become an integral part of our everyday lives. Some Enchanted Evening showcases many of these favorites in a sparkling musical tribute.
The cast will include the talents of Gordon Blodgett, Audrey Hoggatt, Melanie Kloppenborg, Annette Nethery, Joseph “JJ” Ramos, Genna Reid, Megan Richins, Kylee VanHorn, and Joseph “Joey” Whitmire,
Dinner will be Hawaiian Salad Poppy Seed dressing, pork loin, corn, potato casserole, dinner roll, and for dessert, mini pineapple upside-down cake.
