This exhibition features masterful African-American hand-sewn quilts created by the late Laura Hudson, and contemporary quilts and artwork by her husband, Joseph Hudson, and son, Robert Charles Hudson. Their inter-generational quilt-making tradition honors the past while evolving the quilt patterns, motifs, and designs into contemporary art. Originally held in 2014, we are pleased to bring this exhibit online with funding from the Gladys Krieble Delmas Foundation. Descriptions accompany the still images, and video documentation of the opening reception contains performances and talks by the artists as well as the curator.
