Olivia Kate’s Path 5K

About the Event

Come out and Honor Olivia Kate Pugh's life by participating in the innaugural Olivia Kate Pugh Strength and Shield Scholarship Memorial 5K Run.

We will be starting & finishing at Harrison High School on on February 8 at 8:30 am.  We'll have long sleeve race shirts for all participants, as well as awards for the overall winners and all the usual five year age groups.

In Honor of Olivia's life, the Olivia Kate Pugh Strength and Shield Scholarship was created. The name is derived from Psalm 28:7, a guide to Olivia's life and a foundation for how she viewed the world.

"She believed she could so she did." Olivia was an athlete on the softball and flag football fields, on the basketball court, and on the track. Whenever possible, she chose 3 as her jersey number. She was president of Beta Club, a member of the National Honor Society, Science Honor Society, Key Club, Octagon Club, Spark, challenged herself with honors and AP courses, and somehow found time to work at Chick-Fil-A. Her kindness and shining light were contagious to all who were lucky enough to know her.

In honor of her, this scholarship will go to hard-working and highly motivated students who share their light and kindness at Harrison High School. Harrison faculty and coaches will nominate students. There will be at least one scholarship presented annually.
