Now Vs Now is an experimental electro-live cyberwave band by Jason Lindner (composer, electronic musician, keyboardist on David Bowie's final album, Blackstar) with  co-founding bassist, Panagiotis Andreou, and drummer Justin Tyson.

Their new album, "The Buffering Cocoon" (Bugge Wesseltoft’s Jazzland Recordings) contains the project's most ambitious compositions to date.  Named in honor of a dear, departed friend who described the music as “a buffering cocoon,” the album is a warm collection of futuristic, electronic music, which boldly cruises through vaporwave, analog synth-pop, modern electro-R&B and apocalyptic proto-new wave.

Formed in 2006 and carefully cultivated in underground experimental eclectic music venues of NYC (notably Nublu and Zebulon), NVN’s 2009  self-titled debut album was produced by Meshell Ndegeocello (when Lindner was a member of Meshell’s touring band) and mixed by Bob Power (ATCQ).  The album features several special guests like freestyle rapper Baba Israel, Cuban drummer and singer Pedrito Martinez, bro-and-sis horn/reed team Avishai  and Anat Cohen, guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel,  and includes a couple of cameos by Meshell.

NVN’s follow-up release ‘Earth Analog ‘ was produced by Lindner and peaked at #1 on iTunes' jazz charts.  The New York Times declared it “a manifesto in the form of an album," possibly referring to Lindner's comments about the music being what extra-terrestrials might listen to on an "Earth analog" - a planet with environmental conditions similar to those found on planet Earth.  NPR Music wrote, “Will this alien music make you want to dance? Absolutely, but be warned: once you step into the group's intoxicating, alternate universe, you may find it hard to leave.”
