Founded in September of 2018 by original members Ariana Harbin, Kayla Matteucci, and Ricardo Herrera, Sweet Something is an up and coming DC-based project that is ever-changing and growing. With heavy jazz and soul influences, the group’s sound is diverse and eclectic. While still featuring Ariana’s sultry and smooth vocals, Sweet Something’s new music is quite a departure from their first EP, “In The Parlor,” released in February of 2019. Their recent work has evolved into a more nu-jazz, groove-based sound, thanks to their newfound drummer, Aaron Ivey. Although, the band still stays true to its jazz roots by incorporating the classic jazz stylings of piano guru, Quentin Walston.
