Course Information:

Our course, the Wahkeena Falls Trail / Larch Mt Trail loop features the most photographed waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge, including Multnomah Falls, Ecola, Wiesendanger, Fairy, and Wahkeena Falls.

The lower sections of the course are paved trail, and the rest is on a range of smooth to technical trail of soft sod, hard-pack dirt, and rock. The lowest point is about 30 feet above sea level, and the course involves steep inclines, reaching heights of 1800 feet.

This race hosts the original Superhero Competition, where the first male and female finisher wearing a superhero costume wins a special prize. In addition, there are also overall and age-group awards, plus Eric's celebrated tortilla soup.

From I-84 eastbound, take Bridal Veil Exit #28. Go left at the stop sign, east along the Historic Columbia River Highway toward Multnomah Falls. Reach Wahkeena Falls after three miles, and turn left into the picnic area to park. From Hood River and The Dalles, heading west on I-84 toward Portland, take Ainsworth State Park Exit #35. Continue west on the Columbia River Highway for approximately five miles, a half mile beyond Multnomah Falls Lodge to reach Wahkeena Falls.Turn into the picnic area on your right to park.
