The Motor Mill historic site celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2020, and unfortunately the Motor Motor 5K was cancelled due to Covid-19. Just for 2021 we are doing a remix! We're adding a 10K option that will make use of the brand new Motor Mill Trail. Dirt dogs will still have the option to traverse the rugged hiking trails surrounding Motor Mill on the usual 5K course. Each participant will take home a beautiful stoneware coffee mug while supplies last including the iconic visage of the mill itself.
Come one come all and let’s show Mother Nature they can't slow us down!
The 2021 Motor Motor 5k/10K, hosted by Clayton County Conservation in partnership with the Turkey River Recreational Corridor, will offer trail enthusiasts the first chance to trot along the Motor Mill trail before crossing the finish line at the Motor Mill historic site.
The 10K route will run along the rolling hills of the crushed-lime trail with scenic views of Clayton County's bucolic fields, forests, and streams. The 5K route features a rugged and challenging adventure through the singletrack and firebreak trails around Motor Mill, with over 900' of elevation gain/loss to challenge even the sturdiest of trail runners.
Whether you’re looking for a good tune-up for the summer racing season, or just a beautiful setting for an endorphin rush on a Saturday, the Motor Motor 5k/10k has got what you need to welcome the coming spring.
