Dustin DeGolier is a freelance musician serving Northwestern Wisconsin. He achieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Music Performance with an emphasis in jazz guitar from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. A native of Cumberland, WI, Dustin began studying guitar and music theory with Manfred Schonauer at age eleven. Since then he has studied with Billy Barnard of the University of Minnesota-Duluth, as well as UW-Milwaukee’s Pete Billmann, Elina Chekan and Don Linke. He has participated in master classes with renowned guitarists Mark Whitfield, Bruce Forman and Julian Lage. In addition to performing regularly with The Indigo Quartet and Paisan & The Family Brass , Dustin frequently plays and sings jazz in solo, duo and trio configurations. When not practicing or performing, he can be found teaching private lessons at the Pipe Dream Center in Comstock, WI and the Dancing Bird Art Studio in Cumberland, WI. He serves as guitar instructor annually for the Guitar & Bass Workshop and Rock Band Camp at the Shell Lake Arts Center.
