Little Wings on the Prairie Butterfly Festival

About the Event

Come for a day of butterflies, pollinators, and other creatures that inhabit our Prairie Butterfly Garden at Oahe Downstream Recreation Area. Participants can tour the garden, learn about the importance of all pollinators and local experts can assist those with insect, caterpillar, and butterfly identification. Educational stations are set-up with creative activities so guests can learn more about the importance of our pollinator species. Opportunities to photograph the butterflies are always possible. The garden is located at the entrance to the park, just south of the welcome center.
