LimmudFest this year will be held virtually, with opening ceremonies at 11:30 a.m. and sessions running from 12 – 4:30 p.m.
LimmudFest New Orleans is a weekend festival of Big Tent Jewish learning, arts, culture and spirituality — all planned by volunteers. It is part of a global movement inspired by the idea that when Jews from diverse backgrounds come together to celebrate and learn about everything Jewish, the entire community is enriched.
We are turning the spotlight this year on the uniqueness of Jewish life, tradition, and expression in New Orleans, greater Louisiana, and throughout the Gulf South.
Our slate of presenters this year spans from New Orleans favorites like George Dansker and Rabbi Deborah Silver, to national names like Hadar Cohen and Rabbi Avram Mlotek, as well as international presenters like Rabbi Dr. Raphael Zarum and Hagai Segal. Our sessions are being intentionally designed to break out of your computer screen and get you connected (safely) to our wonderful southern Jewish community through discussion, creation, and movement. Whether your passion is studying Jewish text, cooking Jewish food, experiencing and creating Jewish art, or considering Jewish ethics and responsibility you will find something here in this compacted, virtual LimmudFest.
In addition to the four hours of learning you will get on March 14, your ticket purchase gains you access to ALL 20+ hours of video recordings after the event.
