Lightin' Up Celebration

About the Event

Following the Tree Lighting, the Lightin' Up celebration continues with family activities, live entertainment, and special promotions at participating Downtown businesses, attractions, and outdoor spaces throughout the evening. Shops will be open extended hours. Enjoy the decorated storefronts! Ride the Electric Streetcar for FREE. One of the operating streetcars will be a STORYTIME STREETCAR with the Kenosha Public Library reading holiday classics.

There will be multiple areas with entertainment:

At Actor's Craft 7th Avenue Theater & Acting Studio, 4900 Seventh Avenue

Time: Following the Tree Lighting at Veterans Memorial Park to 7pm

Activity: Letters to Santa with Mrs. Claus

At Rhode Center for the Arts, 514 56th Street

Time: Following the Tree Lighting at Veterans Memorial Park to 7pm

Activity: Visit with Santa

At Friendship Park, 5834 6th Avenue

Time: 5:30pm to 7pm

Activities:
- A second tree lighting ceremony
- Roasted chestnuts and cookies for sale
- Music
- Shopping at businesses in the Friendship Park neighborhood

At Wyndham Garden - Kenosha Harborside, 5125 6th Avenue

Time: Following the Tree Lighting at Veterans Memorial Park to 7pm

Activities:
- Outdoor family activity area with family-friendly games
- Midwest DJ Productions with holiday tunes
- Fire pits for making s'mores (kits available to purchase)
- Bar open inside the hotel
- Entertainment later in the evening at the Kenosha Comedy Club inside the hotel

At Herzing University, 5800 7th Avenue

Time: 5pm to 7pm

Activities:
- Live reindeer
- Live music by Haley Klinkhammer
- Hot cocoa served by DayBreak Church
- Fire pits
- Food trucks on site with food to purchase
- Light up Customized Christmas tree giveaway (first 500 kids get one for free)
- New toys will be collected for Toys for Tots with Veteran's Together Charity Forever
- New twin bedding and pillows will be collected for Sleep in Heavenly Peace Racine Kenosha
