8:30 a.m: Bluegrass 10,000 and Fun Run
The Bluegrass 10,000 and Fun Run invites you to join us for our 48th annual race! The USATF-certified 10K foot race begins at 7:30 a.m. and the wheelchair race begins at 7:25 a.m. at downtown Lexington, KY. The Fun Run is a 1-mile course running through downtown, into Thoroughbred Park, and joining with the Bluegrass 10,000 for the finish. The Bluegrass 10,000 and Fun Run kick off the day’s festivities with a parade and festival, plus Lexington’s Fireworks Spectacular in the evening. Don’t miss our new year special pricing and share the word with friends and family to get a start on any fitness goals.
Ready, set, sign up! Kick off the Fourth of July at the 48th annual Bluegrass 10,000 and Fun Run. Cheer on the runners or get in on the action by running the 10K or 1-mile Fun Run. To participate in the fun you may register at the link below for the wheelchair, 10K or Fun Run:

10 a.m. - 3 p.m: Fourth of July Festival and Market
Enjoy live music and children's activities, or shop for arts and crafts and get a good spot to watch the parade. Food and beverage vendors will be on-site to help with your lunchtime needs. Festivities take place before, during and after the parade.

10 a.m: Public Reading of the United States Declaration of Independence
Happy Birthday, America! The founding fathers signed this declaration on July 4, 1776 and America will celebrate its 248th birthday in 2024.
Everyone is invited to gather on the stairs of the old Historic Lexington Courthouse to commemorate the reading of the founding document of the United States.
Those in attendance will be invited to read aloud a short portion of the Declaration.

12pm: Fourth of July Parade
The Fourth of July parade steps off at noon and will move down Main Street from Midland to Mill Street. There will be plenty of red, white and blue to get everyone in the patriotic spirit.
Enjoy the parade from the sideline, or register ahead of time if you wish to participate.

10 p.m.: Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular
Close out your Fourth of July celebration with a bang! The fireworks extravaganza will start at approximately 10 p.m.
