About the Event

Join us at Valley View Nature Preserve for the inaugural Legends of the Valley, an exciting and unique Backyard cross-country trail running event that’s perfect for individual runners, teams & kids. This race will reignite your competitive spirit and bring you back to your XC days with a scenic course, traditional team scoring, and an atmosphere filled with camaraderie and excitement. Whether you’re racing solo or with a team, Legends of the Valley is designed to push your limits and create a fun, competitive environment for everyone. Beyond and during the race, enjoy a day of fun with local food trucks, fire pits, sponsor tents, and the beautiful views of our Charity Partner and Location host, Valley View Nature Preserve.

This race is open to runners of all skill levels, and we welcome those running in their first event or 500th event. Everyone is welcome at Legends of the Valley!

08:00 am: Team Camps & Pre-Race Packet Pick-Up Opens
08:50 am: Opening Ceremony
09:00 am: Kids 1.5 Mile Race
09:30 am: Arrowhead 5K Individual & Team Race
10:30 am: 5K Awards
11:00 am – 1:00 pm: Mammoth 2-Hour Endurance Race
01:15 pm: Mammoth 2-Hour Endurance Race Awards
02:00 pm: Team Camps and Vendor Area Closes

Arrow Head 5K Awards:
Individual Open: Top 5 Male & Top 5 Female Overall & Top 3 Male and Female 40+ Masters
Team Races: Top 2 Teams for Each Category

Mammoth 2-Hour Endurance Race Awards:
Individual Open: Top 3 Male & Top 3 Female Overall & Top 3 Male and Female 40+ Masters
Team Races: Top 2 Teams for Each Category (Regardless of Team Members)

Kids Race Awards:
Individual Open: Top 3 Boys and Top 3 Girls Open
Team Races: Top 1 Teams, Boys, Girls & Mixed.
