Yoga for Cancer Survivor classes are designed to accommodate the specific needs of cancer survivors. No yoga experience is necessary, and you don't need to feel good to attend.
These specialized yoga classes help to enhance the mind-body connection with the intent to support healing both physically and emotionally as survivors proceed through the various stages of cancer and treatments.
Students receive careful individual attention, as they are taught breathing exercises, a customized sequence of yoga postures, and yoga nidra (guided meditation). First-time students are required to fill out and sign a registration form and have their doctor's permission to participate.
All classes are free of charge.
Location: 2nd Floor Training Room (at the intersection of I-12 and Hwy. 21)
