Haunted Forest: The Haunted Trail is the attraction where you will find the most scenes, haunters, and screams at Panic Point. Eleven distinct scenes over the dim half-mile trail challenge your readiness for mayhem and fright. Make your way through the Butcher Shop, Scary Tales House, Voodoo Shack, Junkyard, Pallet Maze, Sanatorium, Motel, Crypt, Abby, Serial Killer’s Cabin, & Clown House.
It doesn’t matter if you are out front leading the way, hiding in the middle, or trailing behind your group, our veteran haunters will find a way to give you the scare you deserve. Every now and then we hear a story about a great scare that happened in the woods. The patron/victim gives a description of the haunter, and we realize we don’t have anyone that fits the description. So, stay on the trail.
Scare Rating: 4 out of 5 skulls.
Dark Trail: Born in 2011 as the Dark Walk, this fan-favorite has graduated to legendary status as the DARK TRAIL. The signature rope on both sides of the trail remains, but that’s the only way this haunted attraction resembles its earlier iteration. As the story goes, Doomsday Preppers set up a compound in the woods and started recruiting other whack-jobs to help the work of preparing for The End.
As they laid the groundwork for surviving Armageddon, they were forced to expel two of the young men who had been caught stealing moonshine from the root cellar. Bitter and vengeful, the two mixed up a few pounds of mutagen, then hijacked a crop duster and blanketed the entire compound in a mist of deadly vapor.
Those on the ground could do little to avoid the bio weapon, which caused irreparable neurological damage to the entire pack. The only thing more gnarled and twisted than their bodies are their minds. Avoid contact with them at all costs as you wander through The Bunker, Cave, Bus, Barn, House and Swamp. And when you’re staggering along in sheer darkness, you’ll never know if you are in the clear, or one step away from your worst nightmare.
Killers in the Corn: Year 4 for this screamin’ stroll through the corn. Its just a short walk into horror on a trip to your own personal horror movie. As the wind passes through the stalks they whisper an invitation to go deeper, farther into the path of pain. But its not the wind or the stalks that will get you. Its the living, breathing, horrifying killers await you inside this trail of terror.
We’ve summoned some of the most vicious, bloodthirsty killers in the history of the world, and allowed them to equip themselves with the tools of their trade. When they work, its not murder, its artistry at its finest, and you just may end up on the canvas!
Menacing Maze: Big changes in 2020 for this quiet acre of Sorghum. With VERY late news from NCDHHS (9/14) that we would not be allowed to operate our hayride, we made some quick calculations and knew the haunters and scares would be delighted to occupy this space.
We had a couple surprises in store for the hayride that are moving to the Maze. It has its own monsters, features, and theme. As the final attraction, we figured, “Why not spit them out in the parking lot?” So get your t-shirts and selfies taken before you enter, because once you’re out, you’re out!
