GriefShare is a grief recovery support group where you can find help and healing after the death of a loved one. It is a special weekly seminar, with time for discussion and sharing, designed with the goal of helping you rebuild your life. There is a wealth of wisdom in God's word, and the goal of GriefShare is to share these biblical truths with you in a practical way. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone. We know it hurts, and we want to help.
There are 13 sessions in the GriefShare program, which progressively works through the various aspects of the grieving process. While it is the most beneficial to attend from session one through to session thirteen, you are welcome to begin attending the GriefShare group at any time. Each session is "self-contained," so you do not have to attend all the sessions in sequence. You will find encouragement and help whenever you begin.
EACH GRIEFSHARE SESSION HAS THREE DISTINCT ELEMENTS
Video Seminar with Experts
Each week - before the session - you will watch a video seminar on your own featuring top experts on grief and recovery subjects. These videos are produced in an interesting-to-watch television magazine format featuring expert interviews, real-life case studies, dramatic reenactments and on-location video. Topics to be covered in the seminars include Living with Grief, The Journey of Grief, The Effects of Grief, When Your Spouse Dies, Your Family and Grief, Why?, The Uniqueness of Grief, God's Purpose for Grief, Stuck in Grief, Top 20 Lessons of Grief and Heaven.
Support Group Discussion with Focus
After viewing the video, you and the other group members will spend time as a support group, discussing what was presented in that week’s video seminar and what is going on in your lives.
Workbook-Based Personal Study and Reflection
During the week you will have the opportunity to use your workbook for further personal study of the grieving process and to help sort out your emotions through journaling. Your group will spend time discussing questions and comments from the workbook study.
