Welcome to Grand Lake Stream, Maine, and the Grand Lake Stream Folk Art Festival!
A celebration of Grand Lake Stream’s natural beauty and unique cultural heritage, the festival brings together artists, artisans, and craftsmen to display and demonstrate their works, musicians to perform and entertain, and families and friends from near and far to enjoy all of this in a magical setting just off the beaten path.
Children’S Art Program
The Grand Lake Stream Folk Art Festival welcomes children from ages four to twelve to participate in the popular arts and crafts program during both days of the festival. Bring your kids and grandkids to this special tent where you’ll find a class schedule for each day. There is no charge for classes or materials, but donations are appreciated.
Arts and crafts projects include painting, beading and needle felting, and kids will leave with their very own creation! Adults supervise the activities at all times and several artists and exhibitors from the festival will participate as instructors. Parents are encouraged to check the class schedule when you enter the festival grounds and sign kids up for the programs of their choice.
While the adults enjoy the music, shop the vendor booths featuring more than sixty folk artists and craftsmen, or browse the cultural exhibits, the kids can discover their own talents. You’re never too young to start creating!
Make the Grand Lake Stream Folk Art Festival a family affair, and the Children’s Art Program a tradition that your kids will look forward to year after year!
