About the Event

The Elizabeth F. Gamble Garden, a non-profit organization, is a remarkable resource for everyone. Located in Old Palo Alto, our historic property has a rich legacy, a commitment to education, and year-round beauty. Come see Gamble for yourself—it's free and the garden is open to the public every day during daylight hours.

Our historic two-and-a-half acre property includes a rose garden, cutting garden, formal herb garden, demonstration bed, wisteria garden, and an allée. Here are five good reasons to get outdoors at Gamble: Enjoy a new view, Notice what's in bloom, Ditch the tech (for a bit), Relax and re-center, Take a breath of fresh air.

Winter Festival Holiday Night With Santa
5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Get into the holiday spirit as Gamble Garden lights up for the Winter Festival at night. Gamble Garden will be beautifully decorated and illuminated for the season, so it's perfect for a date night, girls night out, family night, and more.

Enjoy photo opportunities with Santa and his sleigh, a beautiful ballet performance, holiday shopping, and cookies and cider for all. Other activities include:

Festival Marketplace with artisans and vendors in the Gamble house and outdoors under a canopy of twinkling lights.
Over The Garden Fence – Winter Edition. Gamble's signature sale that always draws crowds to purchase previously loved and vintage treasures at remarkable prices.
Photo opps with Santa.
Stilt walker and teen artisans on-site.
Kids crafts, activities, and treats.
Holiday ballet performance.
Free glass of prosecco for adults .
Food and drink sale.
Includes one Free raffle entry for a chance to win an array of exciting prizes. Delight in the possibility of taking home a beautiful pre-decorated Christmas tree, festive gift baskets, gift certificate, and a variety of other wonderful items. Purchase additional raffle tickets to increase your chances of winning! 5 tickets for $20 or 10 tickets for $30 to general raffle.

12:30pm and 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm - Winter Festival Holiday Tea

Gather with friends and family for a very special holiday tea at the Gamble Garden Main House. Indulge in the spirit of the season with traditional teatime treats, including delicate tea sandwiches, fresh scones, and a selection of aromatic teas.
